$1.5 million settlement – Goebert Law, LLC represented the family of a woman killed in a crosswalk by an inattentive driver.  The client was struck at low speed by an eleven-passenger student transport van.  At the time of the accident, the driver of the van was performing a left-hand turn at a four way stop sign intersection.  The driver of the van failed to visually clear the intersection for pedestrians before striking the client.  As a result of the accident, the client sustained a severe head injury and died in the hospital three days later.  The client was a healthy 69-year-old woman with two adult children.  Goebert Law was able to secure video of the accident which demonstrated the clear liability of the van driver and no comparative fault of the client.  Additionally, Goebert Law worked closely with the children of the victim and a media company to produce a compelling video presentation demonstrating the profound loss suffered by the victim’s children and family.  After providing the video to the insurance carrier, the case settled and remains the largest wrongful death settlement if its kind in the county for the year 2022.

$924,000.00 award – Goebert Law, LLC represented a construction project manager who was severely injured on a residential construction site when a defectively designed, constructed, and installed temporary staircase collapsed underneath him.  The staircase as designed and constructed was not compliant with code nor was it compliant with the construction site contract requirements.  The staircase also had not been properly secured or anchored to the home.  Several contractors working on the site were responsible for the design, construction, and safety of the staircase; however, all of them denied responsibility for the client’s injuries.  As a result of the staircase collapse, the client sustained a severe knee injury including a full quadricep’s tendon rupture with associated medial and lateral tears and meniscus tear.  Due to his injuries, the client was unable to return fully to his lucrative career as a construction site project manager.  Goebert Law consulted with engineering and staircase design experts as well as medical and vocational experts, and, after three days of trial, successfully proved each contractor at fault for the client’s injuries.  The award compensated the client for all of his harms and losses.

$350,000.00 settlement – Goebert Law, LLC represented an individual who was a back seat passenger in a vehicle that was rear ended by a Ford truck on Kelly Drive in Philadelphia, PA.  The client sustained significant internal injuries, including, a liver laceration, rib fractures, and a herniated disc in her spine.  The truck was owned and operated by an out of state disreputable media entertainment company who maintained only minimal liability insurance.  After collecting the liability insurance policy limits held by the media entertainment company, Goebert Law conducted a thorough investigation for underinsured motorist coverage in order to maximize the client’s recovery.  Goebert Law discovered and recovered an additional two hundred and fifty thousand dollars in underinsured motorist coverage from the insurance carrier for the vehicle in which the client was a passenger as well as the client’s own insurance carrier.  The additional money recovered by Goebert Law fully compensated the client for all her harms and losses.

$70,000.00 settlement – Goebert Law, LLC represented an individual who was the driver of a minivan rear ended on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia, PA by an eighteen-wheeler towing a trailer fully loaded with lumber.  The impact between the vehicles was minimal and caused only minor damage to the client’s vehicle.  However, although the impact was minor, it caused a whiplash injury to the client’s neck and post-concussion syndrome as well as cervical and lumbar radiculopathy.  The insurance carrier for the trucking company refused to fully accept responsibility for the client’s injuries citing the minimal impact between the vehicles.  Goebert Law consulted with forensic biomechanical engineers who helped prove the client’s injuries were directly caused by the forces resulting from the collision between the eighteen-wheeler and the minivan.  The insurance carrier for the trucking company subsequently agreed to pay for all of the client’s harms and losses.

$40,000.00 settlement – Goebert Law, LLC represented a four-year-old girl who sustained a fractured nose and head injury as a result of a soccer goal tipping over.  The goal lacked a required anchoring system which would have secured the goal to the ground and prevented the injury.  The injury occurred when the client and several friends were playing on or near the soccer goal.  When the goal tipped over, the crossbar of the goal landed on the client’s face and head.  The fracture to the nose was severe and required surgical repair.  Goebert Law discovered internal documentation from the youth soccer association responsible for the accident that it was aware that injuries frequently occur from soccer goals tipping over, and, as a result, the association required that all goals be properly secured to the ground.  Goebert Law successfully proved the association failed to follow its own policy and procedures to ensure the soccer goal which fell on the client was properly anchored resulting in a maximum recovery for the client.

$400,000.00 settlement – Goebert Law, LLC assisted to obtain a successful resolution of a matter involving the negligent dumping of heating oil into the water well of a home which subsequently compromised the foundation and integrity of the entire home.

$20,000.00 verdict – Goebert Law, LLC represented an individual who sustained a closed head injury from a fall caused by a defective and improperly maintained walkway at an area shopping mall.

$828,000.00 settlement – Goebert Law, LLC represented an individual in a case involving a $2.76M estate.  After receiving a large personal injury settlement, the client’s son passed away.  The client’s son had a will which left his entire estate to his “fiancé.”  The son and the fiancé; however, had ended their relationship several years prior to his death.  After an extensive and thorough investigation, Goebert Law was able to track down and uncover a second will the son had written subsequent to the will leaving everything to his fiancé.  The second will left a large portion of the estate to the client, the decedent’s mother, and the fiancé.  Goebert Law prepared and filed a will contest discrediting and refuting the initial will leaving the entire estate to the fiancé.  After filing the papers with the court, all parties agreed to negotiate, and the client received the largest portion of his son’s estate.
